Naked man in 16th Street BART station could face deportation

SAN FRANCISCO — The man videotaped running around naked in a San Francisco BART station last month may be deported.

Yeiner Perez, 24, was arrested after police say he harassed passengers and staff at the 16th Street BART station on May 10.

Perez is a Colombia native and is not a United States citizen.

 

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said it's monitoring Perez with a GPS device because it's considering sending him back to his native country.

BART’s deputy police chief Ben Fairow says a stay away order is in the works to keep Perez away from BART.

Once it's approved, BART will be able to arrest Perez if he steps foot on BART property.

The stay away order will be among about a 100 already in effect for Bart.
